Early Morning Preparations
The day starts early at 6:00 AM when I arrive at the Advantage Service Co headquarters. After a quick cup of coffee and team briefing, I review the day’s schedule of furnace maintenance appointments across Central Arkansas.
First Call: Emergency Heating
By 7:30 AM, I’m headed to our first call in North Little Rock. A family woke up to a cold house, and with temperatures dropping, this takes priority. These emergency calls remind me why I love this job – helping families stay comfortable when they need it most.
Mid-Morning: Scheduled Maintenance
The late morning takes me to Sherwood for a routine furnace inspection. Preventative maintenance is crucial, and I always tell customers it’s better to catch small issues before they become big problems. During these visits, I:
– Check all electrical connections
– Inspect heat exchangers
– Test safety controls
– Clean or replace air filters
– Calibrate thermostats
Afternoon: Heater Installation
After lunch, I head to Conway for a complete heating system installation. These projects typically take several hours but are incredibly satisfying. Seeing a home transform from having an outdated, inefficient system to a modern, energy-saving unit makes all the hard work worthwhile.
End of Day: Documentation
Before heading home, I complete paperwork for each service call, update customer records, and prepare for tomorrow’s schedule. Serving communities from Little Rock to Cabot requires careful planning and organization.
Working at Advantage Service Co isn’t just about fixing heaters – it’s about ensuring our neighbors stay warm and comfortable throughout Arkansas’s winter months. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our community, making this career incredibly rewarding.
